2 Rural Healthcare: Evidence session with the Minister for Health and Social Services

2.1 The Committee received evidence from the Minister for Health and Social Services.

2.2 The Minister agreed to provide the following:

· Figures on the number of places being made available this year with regards to the Cardiff Bangor collaboration.

· Details of the impact of the Rural and Remote Health in Medical Education programme. (RRHIME).

· An assessment of current Welsh language skills within the NHS work force and his expectation for future numbers.
